To participate in any tournament sponsered by the Central South Elmhurst Golf Association, it is important that you read the following information. It is your responsibility to know the rules and regulations concerning participation in CSEGA events.
•Tournament Eligibility •Conditions of Membership •Tournament Information •Withdrawal/Refund Policy •Time of Starting •Starting Time Requests •No Shows •Attire •Non-Metal Spike Policy •Conduct
The CSEGA conducts a comprehensive tournament schedule for members of the association. Only members of the association are allowed to participate in the events. One exception applies to this rule however. You can read more about this exception here.
Back to Table of ContentsThe CSEGA reserves the rights to decline membership to anyone. In order to become a member, you must be a resisdent of Central or South Elmhurst, play golf, and be invited to play by either Bryan Chester and or Greg Triska. The membership fee of $20 (subject to change) is also required to be considered a member. To become an official alternate, you must be a resisdent of Central or South Elmhurst, play golf, and ask for the consent of Bryan Chester and or Greg Triska.
Back to Table of ContentsInformation concerning pairings, starting times, etc, will be determined at a later time. When possible, the starting times and pairings will be uploaded onto this site under the starting/pairings page. For any questions concerning pairings and starting times, call the office. The phone number can be found on the contact page. PLEASE DO NOT CALL MORE THAN SEVEN DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
Back to Table of ContentsIndividuals, who are unable to attend a CSEGA event, must do the following. They must find a replacement. Their replacement can be an official or unofficial alternate. The individual who is unable to attend the event must supply their alternate with directions and times. You may want to direct them to this web site to get this information. If you are having problems finding an alternate, consult the Official Alternates page. As far as refunds go, there are none. Refunds are not possible under any circumstances, so don't bother to ask for one.
*Note: alternates can be used at all tour stops except for the two major tournaments.
**Note: an alternates score will count as your own in the overall standings.
Rule 6-3a provides, "The player shall start at the time laid down by the Committee." The penalty for breech of Rule 6-3a is disqualification. If the player arrives at his starting time in the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty for disqualification as provided in Rule 33-7, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole, instead of disqualification.
Back to Table of ContentsThe CSEGA will not honor any starting time requests for any CSEGA tournament.

No Shows
Players who fail to appear for their assigned starting time without notifying the CSEGA or who fail to get an alternate to play in their place, risk the possibility of their membership being revoked. No Shows include any player who fails to turn in a scorecard or who withdrawls during play without notifying an official, and personally surrenders his scorecard to that official.
Back to Table of ContentsAll players must be properly attired both on the golf course and the premises of the club. Jeans of any color, T-shirts and tank tops are prohibited. Collared shirts must be worn and shorts must be mid-thigh lengths. No cut-off or jean shorts are allowed. This dress code is in effect at all CSEGA events in conjunction with any additional dress code restrictions of the site hosting the tournament.
Back to Table of ContentsThe CSEGA will honor the non-metal spike policy that is in effect at various host clubs. All contestants will be notified in their starting time letter with information regarding the club policy on non-metal spikes. The information will also appear on the tournament page when the policy is determined.
Back to Table of ContentsThe CSEGA has developed a Code of Conduct for all tournament players. The Code of Conduct is listed below:
